Money plan — save, clear debt & split bills in one app
Savings goals, loans, money owed between friends and subscriptions usually live in notes, spreadsheets and chat groups. In ListBelanja they are one hub worked out from your own records — and instalments, monthly savings and subscriptions join the SAME monthly commitments as your budget and money calendar, exactly once.

Month close, savings challenges & help to cancel
Month close is a guided month-end ritual: the Money plan builds a checklist from your own data — captures not yet reviewed, receipts not yet matched to a transaction, budgets over their limit, goal progress and next month's plan — and stores that month's summary so you can see if figures change afterwards. A prompt is sent at the start of the month when last month is still open. To build a saving habit, the 52-week and daily challenges work out a deposit schedule into your goal with badges when you start and finish, while salary splitting divides detected pay into goals, accounts and envelopes by the percentages or amounts you set. Help to cancel prepares a subscription cancellation letter, an email link, a checklist, negotiation scripts and a “still charged?” check after the end date, with a counter of the total saved.
Projected balance, What if & flex budgets
The projected balance shows your account balance 30, 60 or 90 days ahead, calculated from your payday, the bills in your money calendar, detected recurring spending and your own daily spending pattern — every figure labelled an estimate. When the projection shows the balance dropping below a threshold you set, an alert is sent once to your phone or Telegram before it happens. What if lets you test big decisions on the same projection: buying a car with a deposit and instalments, moving home, a baby, a few months without work or a pay rise — a second line is drawn over the chart with the lowest balance, emergency fund in months and debt ratio after that decision. Budgets can be arranged by category, flex (fixed, flexible and non-monthly spending kept apart) or zero-based, with category targets (amount and date, monthly saving worked out for you) and life-event templates such as a wedding, a baby, job loss, moving home or hajj and umrah.
Category emoji & colour, Needs/Wants/Savings, accounts & Start fresh
Every category — your own subcategories included — can carry an emoji and a colour from the app palette, and that look follows into category pickers, the receipt list, category charts and the financial dashboard. Every receipt and note carries a Needs, Wants or Savings tag: the default follows the category (set in My categories) and can be changed on the record itself; Needs/Wants/Savings filters sit on the receipt list and search, while the 50/30/20 card on the financial dashboard compares this month's actual split with your money-plan ratios. Accounts you do not want counted (a trust fund or a child's account, say) can be left out of totals and net worth with one toggle. Loan repayments can be counted as spending for budgets and reports if you wish — by default they stay transfers. Account transaction lists and search results can be grouped by day or month with money-in, money-out and transfer totals. Start fresh deletes every transaction (receipts go to the 30-day trash) but keeps accounts, categories and budgets — with counts, a download-first button and a confirmation phrase.
Unified financial dashboard
The unified financial dashboard gathers everything ListBelanja knows about your money on one screen: money in, spending out and the net balance this month with a trend against last month, six-month cash flow, category breakdown, monthly budget and category limits, bills due within 14 days, tax reliefs used so far, savings goals, net worth from your accounts, financial-health facts (savings rate, commitment ratio, emergency fund), a business summary and friend or group debts. Cards follow your persona — salaried, family, student, freelancer, business, landlord, association or auditor — so each kind of user sees what matters to them. The Needs attention strip shows unconfirmed receipts, doubtful notes, a near e-Filing date, category limits almost full and bills due in two days; every card takes you straight to its records. A month picker lets you step back to earlier months, and a compact card on the Home screen always shows the three latest figures. Everything is computed inside the app from your own records — no invented numbers.
Savings goals
Set a target, a date and an icon — an emergency fund, a pilgrimage, a house deposit. Every deposit moves the progress bar. Link the goal to a real savings account: deposits become transfers into that account, not spending, so the account balance and the goal always agree. A monthly saving amount can be added to your budget as a commitment.
Loans, BNPL & a debt-free plan
- A running balance for every loan from the repayments you record.
- An instalment schedule using the rate from your offer letter; without a rate the schedule is worked out interest-free and clearly labelled.
- Buy now pay later: equal instalments, exact to the sen.
- A debt-free plan by snowball (smallest balance first), avalanche (highest rate first) or your own order, with extra money each month — the debt-free date and the interest saved are estimates.
Bill splitting & money owed between friends
- Split straight from a receipt: by item, equally, by percentage or by fixed amounts.
- Tax and service charge are shared proportionally; each person's total is exact to the sen.
- Track who owes whom and mark it paid when settled.
- Copy a friendly reminder to send yourself — no public link is created and your friends do not need to sign up.
Subscriptions in the same money calendar
Every subscription shows its monthly and yearly cost, renewal date, trials about to end and price rises. Subscriptions, loan instalments and goal savings become the same monthly commitments used by the money calendar, “Will it last until payday?” and reminders before due dates — counted exactly once.
Net worth & financial health
Net worth is assets minus liabilities from your accounts, savings and loans — without counting the same money twice — with a monthly trend. Financial health shows facts, not a grade: your commitments-to-income ratio, savings rate and how many months your emergency fund covers, each with its source.
In Plan, choose your own split for needs, wants and savings; the app suggests category limits. “50/30/20” is a popular method, not financial advice.
Malaysian goal templates & IOU reminders
- Raya, CNY, Deepavali, Christmas, school, road tax, insurance, umrah, emergency fund, SSPN & PRS templates — targets suggested from your own records, not fixed numbers.
- SSPN & PRS are linked to this year's remaining tax relief cap.
- IOU reminders a few days before and on the due date — no names in the email.
- Split bills by income, and share your own payment QR.
Recurring, budgets, trips & reminders
- Recurring transactions are recorded on their dates by themselves — spending, money in or transfers between your own accounts; weekly to yearly, with start & end dates. Bills whose amount changes wait for you to enter the actual amount.
- Custom budgets weekly, fortnightly, monthly or yearly — one budget can cover several categories, with what you can spend per day.
- Dated trips & events: records within those dates are tagged automatically (with undo), with a budget and daily rate.
- Your own reminders — once or recurring, reminded a few days early in the app's Reminders list.
Group books, savings rates, auto-save & challenges
- Group books for trips, shared houses or events: each expense can be paid by several people, split equally, by amount, percentage, shares or items, in a foreign currency with a rate to the book currency — and the app suggests the fewest transfers to settle up, exact to the sen.
- The savings rate tab compares officially announced rates — each figure with its financial year, announcement date and source link — plus a neutral "if the same rate continued" projection, not investment advice.
- The Every ringgit has a job card subtracts all category budgets, commitments and savings from the period's income — assign what is left until it reaches zero.
- Auto-save: choose a rule on a goal, the app works out the amount every week from the spending you record, and you confirm it before it is recorded as savings.
- Track expected refunds — returned goods, deposits or claims: when a matching money-in is recorded the app suggests the match; late ones appear in Reminders.
- Set your own spending alerts: a single spend above your threshold and categories unusually high this month appear in Reminders and on Home.
- Money challenges such as no-spend days or saving a target RM within a set time, with streaks counted from the records you already keep.
Frequently asked questions
Is saving towards a goal counted as spending?
No. A deposit into the linked savings account is a transfer — the money is still your asset. The budget counts the monthly saving amount as a commitment, exactly once.
How is the debt-free plan worked out?
Snowball clears the smallest balance first; avalanche clears the highest rate first; or set your own order. Extra money and the instalments of loans already paid off roll over to the next loan. It is all an estimate from the figures you enter — the bank's schedule may differ slightly.
Do my friends need to sign up to split a bill?
No. You just type their names. Reminders are copied for you to send yourself; no public link is created and the app sends nothing to them.
Is the financial health view financial advice?
No. It is facts from your own records with their sources, not a grade or an investment recommendation.
