What should an invoice contain?
The seller's and customer's name and address, a unique sequential invoice number, the invoice and due dates, a description of each item or service with quantity and price, the subtotal before tax, SST where it applies, the grand total and payment details. For e-Invoicing, the seller's and buyer's TIN (tax identification number) and business registration number are needed too — this generator has a place for all of them.
SST is charged only by SST-registered businesses; the service and sales rates in this generator come from the current rules. Unregistered businesses issue invoices without SST.
Invoices & LHDN e-Invoicing
LHDN e-Invoicing is the validation of an invoice through MyInvois — it does not replace the invoice you send your customer, but it needs the same details: TIN, registration number, description, quantity, price and tax. Invoices from this generator already carry them, so entering one into the MyInvois Portal is copying, not new work.
Small businesses below the revenue threshold in force are exempt from e-Invoicing; that threshold and its effective date are shown on our e-Invoice page and update themselves.
In the app: serial numbers, status & Form B money in
In ListBelanja, the Invoices tab (Side income) keeps every invoice with automatic serial numbers by year, Draft → Sent → Paid status, an overdue filter, duplication of recurring invoices and CSV or Excel export. Mark as paid records the money in straight to the Form B or HK-4 source — the invoice number becomes its reference, ready for the e-Invoice draft and accounting export.
Seller details come from your income source and the e-Invoice tab; regular customers can be duplicated from an old invoice — no retyping.
Quotations, recurring invoices & overdue reminders
In the app, send a quotation first (with a valid-until date); once the customer agrees, one tap turns it into an invoice with the next serial number — no retyping the items. Invoices for regular customers can be marked recurring every week, month, quarter or year: a draft copy is created by itself on the date and you are notified to review and send it.
Invoices past their due date are flagged overdue by themselves and you are notified in the app; a polite reminder in your language is ready to copy, open in WhatsApp or send by e-mail — you send it, the app never contacts your customer.
In the app: credit notes, collections & UBL e-Invoices
- Credit notes that reduce the original invoice balance — never more than that invoice.
- Collections by debt age: not yet due, 0–30, 31–60, 61–90 and over 90 days, oldest first.
- Products on invoice lines: the price fills in and sales reduce stock at average cost.
- UBL 2.1 documents (JSON/XML) following the MyInvois SDK structure — test in the sandbox with your own credentials; not yet verified with LHDN.
Sessions & rates, MyInvois bulk file, bank reconciliation
- Rate cards by hour, session, day or unit — logged sessions become invoice items in one tap.
- MyInvois bulk file: a UBL file per invoice, submission files within MyInvois limits and a manifest in one ZIP — built on your device.
- Bank reconciliation: mark as paid into a bank or cash account, then reconcile your statement balance with your business records.
PDFs, customer receipts & SST-02 summary
- Invoices and credit notes as A4 PDF files made on your phone — share straight to a messaging app or email
- A numbered customer receipt for every paid invoice: print, PDF or share
- An SST-02 summary for each taxable period: sales and service tax by rate, credit-note deductions and the due date
- You fill in and submit it yourself in MySST — the app never signs in to government portals
Branded invoices in the app
- Your logo, brand colour and signature or stamp on invoices, quotations, credit notes and customer receipts — print and PDF.
- Each business can have its own branding; light colours are darkened automatically so they stay readable when printed.
- A single business's profit and loss statement prints with its SSM registration number and address.
Customer statements, late charges, price levels & custom fields
- The Customers tab prepares a statement of account for each customer — invoices, payments and credit notes in a chosen period with balance ageing — to print, save as PDF or send yourself by WhatsApp and email; the credit book records opening balances and payments.
- Set a late payment charge — a monthly rate (pro rata) after a grace period or a fixed fee — and the app suggests a draft charge invoice for overdue invoices without charging the same period twice.
- Price levels: set different prices for wholesale, retail or members on each product; when a customer with a level is chosen in an invoice, the right price is filled in for you.
- Add up to six custom fields to invoices and customers (e.g. PO no., vehicle number, project) — printed on the invoice if chosen and included in CSV and Excel.
Frequently asked questions
Is this invoice generator free?
Yes. It works without sign-up and without limits; the invoice is printed or saved as a PDF from your browser. Sign up only if you want invoices kept, serially numbered and recorded as Form B money in.
Do I need to charge SST?
Only if your business is SST-registered with Customs (taxable services or a manufacturer above the registration threshold). Otherwise leave SST off — an invoice without SST is valid. The rates shown in the generator come from the current rules.
Can this invoice be used for LHDN e-Invoicing?
This invoice carries the details MyInvois asks for (TIN, registration number, items, tax), but e-Invoice validation happens in the MyInvois Portal or through integrated software. In the app, the e-Invoice tab prepares a draft for each sale and the monthly consolidated e-Invoice to copy into the portal; sent invoices can also be downloaded as UBL documents (JSON/XML) or submitted with your own MyInvois credentials — test in the sandbox first, not yet verified with LHDN.
Is my invoice data sent anywhere?
No. The calculation and the printable document are built in your browser; nothing is sent to a server. Reloading the page clears the form.
