e-Invoicing for buyers and sellers
e-Invoicing changes how receipts and invoices are validated in Malaysia. As a buyer, an e-Invoice proves your relief claim. As a seller, you may need to issue them — depending on your business's annual revenue.

Checked against official LHDN sources: relief table · rates, deadlines & rules . Checked automatically every day; a change is accepted only after two identical readings. Year of assessment: YA2026.
Exemption threshold
| Effective from | Annual revenue threshold |
|---|---|
| RM1,000,000 | |
| RM3,000,000 |
Businesses with annual revenue below the threshold in force are exempt from e-Invoicing.
What ListBelanja does
- Request an e-Invoice from the seller in one tap — your buyer details (name, TIN, email) are ready to hand over.
- The right e-Invoice classification code for every relief category.
- e-Invoice drafts for your own sales in the Form B module.
- LHDN's e-Invoicing announcements are monitored every day.
An e-Invoice on every relief receipt
- The MyInvois QR code on a receipt is read during the scan in browsers that support QR scanning — the 26-character UUID, the validation link and the seller's TIN are kept with the receipt; the AI also reads e-Invoice numbers on receipts without a QR.
- A relief receipt without an e-Invoice? Tap Request e-Invoice — your buyer details are copied to hand to the merchant — or paste the validation link the merchant sends; a receipt can be marked Not needed when the merchant is exempt.
- Each receipt's status — validated, requested, none or not needed — follows that year's LHDN rule (encouraged, or required from a set date), not a date typed into the app.
- A No e-Invoice filter in the receipt list, a summary in the e-Filing tab and three e-Invoice columns in the audit-pack CSV — the proof behind every claim is clear to you, your accountant and LHDN.

LHDN pre-fill check: what LHDN already knows from your e-Invoices
- Every relief and every member: e-Invoice in the claimant's name, own proof only, or needs a check
- e-Invoices in another member's name, consolidated e-Invoices / general TIN, different amounts or classification codes are spotted automatically
- Direct buttons on each receipt: open it or request an e-Invoice from the merchant
- Pre-fill for each year of assessment from official LHDN statements — no claim without a source
e-Invoice at the counter — show your MyInvois QR
- Save your MyInvois taxpayer QR once — read on your own device and kept in your account, never in a link.
- A high-contrast full screen for the cashier (dark mode too), with your TIN to copy and a buyer switch: you, the group profile or family members who agree.
- Your shopping list flags relief-eligible items — “Ask for an e-Invoice for …” — with the request deadline worked out from LHDN's rule.
- Eligible receipts scanned without an e-Invoice remind you of that deadline; e-Invoice PDF copies are kept with the receipt and in the audit pack.
MyInvois for your sales: UBL documents & sandbox testing
- Sent invoices and credit notes are built as UBL 2.1 documents (JSON or XML) following the MyInvois SDK structure — any missing mandatory fields are listed first.
- Download the JSON or XML to upload yourself in the MyInvois portal, or enter the Client ID and Client Secret of your own ERP system — the secret is encrypted on the server and never shown again.
- Start in the sandbox, MyInvois's test environment; the status, UUID and history of every action (log in, submit, check, cancel) are recorded on the invoice.
- Not yet verified with LHDN: you submit, with your own credentials, and ListBelanja makes no claim of official compliance.
MyInvois bulk file for your sales
- Many invoices & credit notes in one bulk file — JSON or XML following the MyInvois SDK structure.
- Each document is checked for required fields first; incomplete ones are flagged.
- Upload the bulk file to the MyInvois portal yourself, or submit in bulk directly with your own credentials — JSON files are signed when your digital certificate is loaded; final acceptance is by MyInvois.
MyInvois digital signature with your own certificate
- Load a digital certificate file (.p12 / .pfx) from your CA — invoices are signed on your device, not on a server
- The private key never leaves the device and is never stored; only the certificate’s public details are kept for expiry reminders
- Submit invoices in bulk straight to MyInvois with your own credentials — each invoice’s status is recorded and can be retried
- Signed according to the LHDN SDK specification — final acceptance is by MyInvois; the version follows official data and the app adapts on its own when the unsigned version is retired
Self-billed e-invoices (types 11, 12 & 13)
- Self-billed e-invoices for purchases from individuals and foreign suppliers — self-billed invoices, credit notes and debit notes (types 11, 12 and 13) built with the official general TINs and downloaded as a bulk file for MyInvois; supplier MyKad numbers are not stored.
Frequently asked questions
Does my small business need e-Invoicing?
Businesses with annual revenue below RM3,000,000 are exempt (effective 1 September 2026). The threshold is read from LHDN's announcements and updates itself when it changes.
Can ListBelanja submit my sales e-Invoices to MyInvois?
In the app, sent invoices and credit notes can be downloaded as UBL documents (JSON or XML) for the MyInvois portal, or submitted with your own MyInvois Client ID and Client Secret. When your own digital certificate is loaded, JSON documents are signed on your device following the SDK specification, and many invoices can be submitted in bulk directly; final acceptance is by MyInvois — test in the sandbox first, and check every document before you submit it.
