ListBelanja

Automatic capture — spending arrives by itself, you just review

Most spending already leaves a trail: bank alert emails, card SMS, e-wallet notifications. Automatic capture brings that trail straight into the Capture Centre as notes in To review — the amount, merchant or payee and date are read on the server without AI — so you just check and save. The same record then moves your account, budget and analysis, and it is never counted twice when the receipt arrives later.

Money in & out from every channel, transfers between your own accounts

Money in detected just like money out, from every ListBelanja channel — bank alert emails, notifications, Shortcuts automation, Telegram, quick notes and statement import. Phrases such as “You have received”, “DuitNow received”, “Wang masuk”, “credited” or “已收到” are recognised in three languages, “credit card” is no longer mistaken for money in, and every credit gets a type: salary, transfer received, refund, cashback, dividend or interest, sales and rent — refunds and cashback reduce spending on the financial dashboard. Alert emails become an automatic channel for every phone: forward bank alerts to your private receipt inbox address; when Gmail or Yahoo sends a forwarding confirmation email, a card in the Capture Centre and on Home shows the code and confirmation link to you only. Auto-forwarding is accepted after layered checks (the provider's SPF, the forwarding address must be yours, the mailbox must be a member's login email), and a checklist shows which banks have sent alerts. Transfers between two of your own accounts within 30 minutes are merged into one transfer with Correct or Split back, top-ups to an e-wallet you track count as transfers, and a detected salary suggests your payday.

iPhone notifications (iOS 27)

iPhone notifications now reach ListBelanja too. On iOS 27 the Shortcuts app has a Notification automation trigger: you pick your bank and e-wallet apps (several at once), and every notification from them is sent by the ListBelanja Tangkap shortcut to the server with your device token — no extra app, no bank password. The server reads only the amount, merchant name and date; OTP/TAC codes are discarded and promotions, limits, balances and top-ups are not recorded — the same path as the Android app — and the transaction is matched with your receipts. The Capture Centre guides you step by step with a copy button for every value and the same list of 44 Malaysian bank and e-wallet apps. Other shortcuts mirror the Android app: This month (spending, income, budget and to-review as text — on the Home Screen, Siri or the Action Button), Send receipt to ListBelanja from the Share Sheet straight into the receipt inbox, and shortcut icons for Note, Scan, List and the Capture Centre.

Bank & e-wallet apps detected by themselves

Notification capture does not require hunting for bank apps one by one — bank apps detected by themselves: ListBelanja recognises a verified list of 44 Malaysian bank and e-wallet apps (MAE, Maybank2u, CIMB OCTO, MyPB, RHB, HLB Connect, AmOnline, BIMB & GO, myBSN, AffinAlways, allianceonline, UOB TMRW, OCBC, HSBC, SC Mobile, AGRONet, iRakyat, i-Muamalat, MBSB, Rize, GXBank, Boost Bank, AEON Bank, Ryt Bank, TNG eWallet, Boost, BigPay, Setel, Atome and more) from the app name in every notification that arrives through the iPhone Notification automation or ListBelanja from Google Play on Android once published, and in the Android app's capture settings installed bank apps are ticked by themselves. Shopping or ride apps that also carry a wallet (Grab, Shopee, Lazada, Fave) are suggested but not ticked — you decide, and an app you untick is never re-ticked. For alert emails, the bank is recognised from the sender's domain and a checklist in the Capture Centre shows which banks have sent alerts. The same list names the bank for account matching when the notification text does not.

Receipt ↔ bank transaction matching

Receipt matching with bank transactions works both ways. Forward: when a bank app notification, SMS, Telegram, email or quick note arrives, ListBelanja looks for a receipt that already exists (same amount, within 7 days, matching merchant). Backward: when a receipt is read, bank transactions already recorded are searched. Certain pairs link themselves and are reported back to the phone or Telegram; doubtful ones appear as suggestions in To review, the receipt sheet and the Matches tab to confirm in one tap. The receipt absorbs the transaction, so spending is never counted twice and the bank proof (name, amount, date, source, account) stays on the receipt — it can be unlinked at any time.

ListBelanja on Android — one app for everything

ListBelanja on Android is one Android app for everything: tap Install app and it is installed with one tap straight from your browser — home screen icon, full screen and updates by itself, with no security warning and no file to download. Every site feature is inside, so each update arrives at once with no re-download, and your account and data are the same as on the site and on iPhone. When ListBelanja is published on Google Play, this site detects it by itself and a Google Play button replaces the install step; that version adds bank and e-wallet notification capture, receipt sharing from other apps and home screen widgets, and users of the older Android app are offered it inside the app so it stays one app.

Bank & e-wallet app notifications — every phone

Bank app notifications and e-wallet alerts reach To review through the route that suits each phone: the Notification automation on iPhone (iOS 27), bank alert emails forwarded to your private receipt inbox on any phone, and direct capture in ListBelanja from Google Play on Android once published — with a disclosure screen before notification access is requested. Payments, transfers and money in are recorded; OTP/TAC codes are never recorded, long numbers are masked, and promotions, limits, balances and top-ups are ignored.

Three ways in

  • Bank & e-wallet alert emails — forward them to your private receipt inbox address. A mailbox filter can forward every alert automatically when that mailbox is a member's sign-in email and the email provider confirms the forwarding; the forwarding confirmation code is shown in the app.
  • Phone shortcut — create a device token (shown only once, only its hash is stored, revocable any time); a phone shortcut or automation app sends a bank SMS or text straight in as a note.
  • Text to the Telegram bot — “lunch 18.90” or “taxi 12.50 yesterday” is recorded; “+ eggs, milk” goes to the group's shopping list; connected to several groups → the bot asks which one.

Review once, then save

  1. Notes appear in To review with the amount, merchant or payee, date and the last card digits to match the account.
  2. Fix anything that is wrong, pick the category and account, then save — or confirm several at once.
  3. When the receipt or statement line for the same spending arrives later, cross-source duplicates are flagged so nothing is counted twice.

Privacy first

OTP/TAC codes, full account or card numbers, identity numbers, balances and links are removed before saving — only the last card digits are kept. Incoming-money alerts and verification-code emails are ignored, with the reason shown. You never hand over an online banking password.

Money-in alerts & transfers between your own accounts

  • Money-in alerts (salary, transfers received, refunds) are recorded as money in to review — refunds are not counted as income.
  • A spend from one account and money in to another account for the same amount are suggested as one transfer — one tap to merge them.
  • Only users allowed to record money in for that group can record it through email, Shortcuts or Telegram.

Phone wallet, voice & swipe review

  • Capture Centre now has phone shortcut recipes for phone wallet card payments (merchant, amount & card sent to Needs review by themselves) and voice notes attached to back tap or the action button.
  • Card mode in Needs review: swipe right to confirm, left to edit and up to skip — or use the same buttons.

Frequently asked questions

Does ListBelanja sign in to my bank account?

No. No online banking password, OTP or TAC is ever asked for. Only the alert messages you forward or send yourself are read.

Are bank alerts read by AI?

No. The amount, merchant or payee and date are read with fixed rules on the server, without AI, and you check them before saving. Itemised e-receipts stay receipts.

What if I no longer want to use the phone shortcut?

Revoke the device token in the Capture Centre — that shortcut stops working at once.
