For beginners: tax in plain language, one step at a time
Nobody teaches tax at school. ListBelanja explains without jargon — who must file, what a relief is, why receipts matter — and shows ONE next step on the Home screen until the year is done. Inside the app, the "Who are you?" card on the Home tab turns this into your first 3 steps, ticked off as you go.

Scenario: how it plays out
- Try it first without an account: the tax calculator, the PCB calculator and the "can I claim X?" pages — all free, in your language.
- Sign up free, pick "Beginner" — the Start here card shows your first 3 steps.
- Answer the 5 beginner questions: need to file? which form? when? The app keeps the answers and shows the form and next steps.
- Scan one receipt and watch the AI read the shop, date, total and relief — from then on the app shows the next step every time you open it.

Achievements: badges you earn from real records
Beginners often stop after the second receipt. The Achievements card on Home shows your level — Beginner → Organised → Audit-ready → Expert — and the next badge waiting: first receipt, then more receipts, months in a row with at least one receipt, the first matched relief, a category cap reached, the first e-Invoice evidence, an audit-ready score and a year locked after filing.
Every badge is derived from real records — no points, no prizes: delete a record and its badge goes too. The full list lives in More, and an interactive tutorial shows how badges appear by themselves. The same for individuals, families, SMEs, companies and associations, in 3 languages.
The right plan
Free — forever for a beginner who scans occasionally; upgrade only when you want more AI scans.
Frequently asked questions
I'm a student / started work 3 months ago — do I need to file?
If you have chargeable income for that year, you must file — PCB only becomes your final tax if you worked for the same employer all year. With only a few months of income, the real tax for the year is often low or zero — if PCB was already deducted, filing lets you get the difference back. The "Do I need to file?" wizard (5 questions) works it out with LHDN's YA2026 rate table, rebates and statutory reliefs.
What if I get something wrong?
Receipts the AI is unsure about are marked Needs a check; a year is locked only when you choose; and the audit pack shows where every figure came from. You can correct anything before you file.
